I attended my very first Annual General Meeting of the IOA on Saturday. I am very much looking forward to be working with wonderful people over the next four years.

The Abstract Submission deadline for the IOA Congress is coming closer: Please submit your abstract by Monday, Jan 31st 10:00 AM (GMT). You can upload your abstract on the congress website.
World Orthoptic Day will this year be on Monday, June 6th. After last years big success with the Tetris Challenge, another challenge will be planned this year as well. The International Paediatric Eyecare Training Committee (IPET), which consist of the International Paediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus Council (IPOSC) and the IOA, has recently been to The Gambia. The goal of this new committee is to provide education and the delegation chose The Gambia to see if it would be a good country to start the program. A report with more detailed information is coming soon.
